TSFDC – Annual General Meeting – Press release

1. TSFDC came in to existence on 14^th May, 2015.

2. 3^rd Annual General body Meeting is held virtually on 20^th May, 2021 and the following members and Directors have attended the meeting.

3. The Chairman Sri Vanteru Prathap Reddy briefed about the status of the Corporation.

• A total of Rs.95.49 Crore net profit is made over the last year net profit of Rs.2 Crore

• Turnover of the Corporation is about Rs.150 Crore.

• The Corporation also finances beedi leaf collection in the State.

• The Andhra Pradesh Government issued a GoMs.25 EFS&T Dept., on 05.05.2021 setting the bifurcation issues and settlement Rs.51.02 Crores and interest under beedi leaf scheme.

• Under CSR component the free fuel wood supply is made to crematorium in view COVID-19 situation on indent by Municipalities in the State so far 150 MT of fuel wood is given.

• A proposal to develop the Eco-Tourism office complex and integrated central nursery to supply tree species and the mosquito repellant plants is approved.

4. The members / Directors have suggestions to explore new avenues of revenue generation, Forest certification by Forest Stewardship Council, paper board material supply for tetra packs etc., explore possibility of timber supply to Ikea etc.,

5. AGM passed resolution adopting the audited balance sheet, profit & loss account of the Forest Development Corporation based on proposal submitted by VC&MD, Dr.G.Chandrashekar Reddy, IFS, seconded by Sri Swargam Srinivas, IFS, PCCF (Admn), Spl. CS Smt A.Santi Kumari, IAS and Sri Hemanth Kumar, IFS and Sri Sidhanand Kukrety, IFS gave no. of suggestions for improvement and diversification of activities of the Corporation.

రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం పర్యావరణం, అటవీ అభివృద్ధికి ఇస్తున్న ప్రాధాన్యతను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని అటవీ అభివృద్ధి సంస్థ (ఫారెస్ట్ డెవలప్ మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ ) ను పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరించాలని నిర్ణయించారు. ఫారెస్ట్ డెవలప్ మెంట్  కార్పొరేషన్ మూడవ వార్షిక సమావేశం (Annual General Body Meeting) ఈరోజు ఆన్ లైన్ ద్వారా చైర్మన్ ఒంటేరు ప్రతాపరెడ్డి అధ్యక్షతన జరిగింది.

యూకలిప్టస్ ను పెంచే సంప్రదాయ పద్ధతుల నుంచి ప్రస్తుత అవసరాలకు తగిన విధంగా మార్పు చెందాలని, అటవీ అభివృద్ధి సంస్థను ఆ దిశగా తీర్చిదిద్దాలని ఈ సమావేశంలో నిర్ణయించారు.  గజ్వేల్ జిల్లా ములుగు సమీపంలో సుమారు 20 ఎకరాల్లో ఒక సెంట్రల్ నర్సరీని ఎఫ్.డీ.సీ తరపున ఏర్పాటు చేయాలని ప్రతిపాదించారు.  రాష్ట్రంలో అన్ని మున్సిపాలిటీలకు అవసరమైన మొక్కలను సరఫరా చేసే విధంగా ఈ నర్సరీని తీర్చిదిద్దనున్నారు. ప్రస్తుతం ఎఫ్.డీ.సీ ఉన్న కార్యాలయానికి (అద్దె భవనం) బదులుగా కొత్త  ఆఫీస్ కాంప్లెక్స్ ను హైదరాబాద్ కొత్తగూడా లో నిర్మించాలని నిర్ణయించినట్లు చైర్మన్ ఒంటేరు ప్రతాపరెడ్డి తెలిపారు. దీనికి ఏకో టూరిజం – ఫారెస్ట్ డెవలప్ మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ కాంప్లెక్స్ గా పేరు పెట్టనున్నారు. ఫారెస్ట్ డెవలప్ మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ కార్యకలాపాలను మరింత లాభదాయకంగా తీర్చిదిద్దేందుకు సమావేశంలో పాల్గొన్న డైరెక్టర్లు/మెంబర్లు అనేక సలహాలు సూచనలు చేశారు. టేట్రా ప్యాక్ లకు అవసరమైన పేపర్ బోర్డ్ మెటీరియల్ తయారు చేయడం, ఐకియా (Ikea) లాంటి సంస్థలకు కలప అందించే అవకాశాలను పరిశీలించటం ఇందులో ఉన్నాయి.

ఉమ్మడి రాష్ట్రం నుంచి ఫారెస్ట్ డెవలప్ మెంట్ కార్పొరేషన్ విభజన ప్రక్రియ పూర్తయిందని దీనికి అనుగుణంగా సెటిల్ మెంట్  లో భాగంగా 51.02 కోట్ల రూపాయలు ఇచ్చేందుకు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం అనుమతులు జారీ చేసిందని అటవీ అభివృద్ధి సంస్థ వైస్ చైర్మన్, మేనేజింగ్ డైరెక్టర్ చంద్రశేఖర్ రెడ్డి తెలిపారు. తెలంగాణ అటవీ అభివృద్ధి సంస్థ మొత్తం టర్నోవర్ 150 కోట్లు కాగా, 95.49 కోట్ల లాభాలను ఆర్జించినట్లు వెల్లడించారు. ఇక కరోనా విపత్తు నేపథ్యంలో చనిపోయిన వారి దహన సంస్కారాలు నిర్వహించేందుకు  అవసరమైన కలపను సరఫరా చేసేందుకు ఎఫ్.డీ.సీ ముందుకు వచ్చింది ఇప్పుటి దాకా వివిధ ప్రాంతాల్లో 150 మెట్రిక్ టన్నుల కలపను సరఫరా చేసినట్లు ఎం.డీ వెల్లడించారు.

ఈ సమావేశంలో అటవీ శాఖ ప్రత్యేక ప్రధాన కార్యదర్శి ఏ. శాంతి కుమారి,   పీ.సీ.సీ.ఎఫ్ (అడ్మిన్) స్వర్గం శ్రీనివాస్, మెంబర్లు హేమంత్ కుమార్ IFS, సిద్దానంద్ కుక్రెటీ IFS,  జి.ఎస్ రామ్మోహన్ రావు, ఎస్.ఆర్ మోహన్, పవన్ కంకానీ పాల్గొన్నారు.
