A high level delegation comprising of members of International Organisation of Migration (IOM) and International Labour Organisation (ILO) met the Chief Secretary Sri Somesh Kumar IAS at BRKR Bhavan today and discussed about the measures to be taken for reintegration of international returnee migrants in Telangana.

Chief Secretary informed that the government established TOMCOM for skill development of unemployment youth of the state.  The government is also approaching several countries to facilitate the youth of the state find jobs worldwide in the best possible way.  A programme to train nurses has already started and similar initiatives are also being taken up in other sectors as well.  He stated that the government has created a favourable ecosystem to deepen sustainable initiatives in reintegration of migrant workers.

 

Special Chief Secretary Labour Rani Kumudini, Spl Secretary Industries Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Shri Sanjay Awasthi Head of Office IOM,  Dagmar Walter Director ILO and other officials were present.
